Iso E Super is an abstract, synthetic molecule known for its cedarwood-like note, offering an enveloping, cozy warmth. Patchouli, on the other hand, is extracted from the leaves of the patchouli plant and is a natural fragrance known for its association with the 1960s and 1970s and the bohemian spirit. Patchouli brings with it a cool, rather distant woody note that makes it a distinctive fragrance.
Geza Schoen describes patchouli as a fragrance with a unique natural quality that sets it apart from most other perfume ingredients. In Molecule 01 + Patchouli, he has used two different qualities of patchouli. The main ingredient is Patchouli Coeur, a very pure, soft patchouli oil with the camphoraceous top note removed. In addition, Schoen has added a patchouli oil from Indonesia to round off the fragrance with a light top note.
The result is a sophisticated, clean patchouli fragrance that harmonizes perfectly with the velvety notes of Molecule 01.
