Molecule 04 is clarity in liquid form. Geza Schoen concentrates here on Javanol - a synthetic sandalwood molecule created in the Givaudan laboratory in 1996, which has the radiance and persistence of natural sandalwood, but unfolds a transparency and lightness that does not exist in nature. "It smells like liquid grapefruit peel poured over a bed of cream-colored roses," says Schoen, describing the almost psychedelic freshness of Javanol - creamy, woody and radiant at the same time, yet unmistakably pure and precise.
