Cire Trudon, founded in 1643, is the oldest wax manufacturer in the world and supplied the court of King Louis XIV as well as most of the major churches in France.
Trudon introduces a new series with luminous white properties: The Alabaster. The delicate alabaster not only replaces the traditional green glass, but creates a sculptural object with a matching lid. Praised since ancient times by the Greeks, Egyptians and Romans, alabaster is a soft stone: its milky aspect filters the light perfectly.
In a hotel in Havana, under the motionless sun of the revolution: the fierce and partisan overtones of leather and tobacco mingle with the waxy silence of the cladding. In the cool semi-darkness, the facial features of deer shimmer together with the smoke of cigars and the barrels of guns.
