Cashmeran is at the heart of this composition and gives Escentric 05 its dry, radiant and warm woody note, which is surprisingly infused with a hint of pine resin. Perfumer Geza Schoen wanted to create a different approach to a summer perfume with Escentric 05 - without the typical maritime notes that often seem too artificial. Instead, he wanted to capture the experience of being on an island in the Mediterranean.

The top note is simple and refreshing: bergamot provides lightness, while orange spreads a cheerful, sunny mood and reflects the island's orange groves.

Laurel and rosemary, typical Mediterranean plants, bring a spicy freshness; juniper adds a herbaceous note and cypress completes the fragrance with a dry, distinctive woody note.

At the heart of the fragrance are two classic Mediterranean ingredients: Cistus(labdanum) and mastic resin. Mastic resin comes from a small tree that grows particularly close to the sea and exudes a clear, fresh scent of freshly cut branches. Cistus is a small plant found throughout the Mediterranean and lends a sweet, leathery, balsamic note.

A subtle hint of fig, both the bitterness of the leaves and the sweetness of the fruit, rounds off the fragrance experience. Figs are of particular importance to Geza Schoen, as a fig tree grows next to his house on the island - an authentic element that reflects the joy of summer by the sea.
